About Us
Here at Buoys & Gulls we offer quality Childcare and Early Education for children from birth to 5 years of age. Based in Boddam, Peterhead, Buoys & Gulls Nursery provides a caring and family-oriented environment to encourage your child’s development. Find us.
Playrooms within our nursery are generously proportioned, carefully planned and extensively resourced to create inspiring learning environments in which children can grow and learn with confidence. We pride ourselves on offering children focused activities and regular access to outdoor play areas to enhance their learning opportunities and encourage learning across all areas of the curriculum.
Our nursery is an established and respected Centre for Early Year’s Care and has developed a strong reputation for delivering quality and meeting the needs of individual children and their families. We have won local and national awards in recognition of our exceptional quality standards. In 2018 we were named one of the Top 20 Nurseries in Scotland by Day Nurseries.co.uk. - We are open for 50 weeks of the year. We close over Christmas.
We accept all childcare vouchers and offer 2-5 year old funding. Our spaces fill very fast so we do recommend you enquire as early as possible to ensure you get the sessions and start date you require.
We would highly recommend that to get a real feel for our Nursery, you would be best to come and see for yourself! Our Nursery Manager would be delighted to give you a guided tour, introduce you to the staff and answer any questions you may have. I am very pleased with all the staff at Holyrood Nursery. It is an amazing nursery. My son, since he has started attending this nursery from September 2017, has improved his English a lot, which is his second language. Both of my children have been at Buoys and Gulls since they were 1. My daughter has now left but the change in her confidence levels since she started was great to see! My son loves the 3-5 room and loves his time there. I feel like both of my children have made great friends and good connections with staff. I know that if I have a problem, I can go to most of the staff members there and resolve it. I know my child is well looked after and safe which makes me feel less guilty about leaving him to go to work.
